1854 Crimea Medal 2 clasps Inkermann, Sebastopol re-named in neat upright capitals to Lt Col A. Irving R.A. Companion Of The Bath and 1855 Turkish Crimea Medal (Sardinian) named in neat capitals to Colonel Alexander Irving C.B. Royal Artillery very fine and better with matching brooch buckles. With copied Army list extracts, alexander Irving appointed Cornet 16/12/31, Lieut 10/3/34, Capt 4/5/43, Maj 20/6/54, Lt Col 13/12/54, Col 13/12/57, Maj Gen 6/7/67. War service extract states "Colonel Irving served the Eastern Campaign of 1854-55, including the battle of Inkermann and siege of Sebastopol; commanded the Artillery of the left attack at the bombardment in October and during the last three months of 1854 (Medal and clasps, CB and 5th Class of the Medjidie)."
