Early 19th Century Officer’s Cavalry Pattern Sword

A good example with a plain curved 31 inch piped back quill point blade. The hilt with shagreen covered grip enclosed within a scroll and pierced guard. Housed in steel scabbard engraved with the retailer’s details of “R. Johnston Late Bland & Foster” of St. James London. Overall GC.

Similar example shown in Swords of the British Army (2nd Edition) page 85 Variation of the 1820 pattern.
