A SET OF NINE FRENCH PORCELAIN CABINET PLATES, late 19th century, of lobed circular form, centrally painted in polychrome enamels with vignettes of figures comprising three with a couple in landscape and six with putti (one fishing subject), all within gilded rims enclosing three panels of musical and other trophies and a monogram "CT", one inscribed in gilt script "Nymphe D'apres Fragonard", and all inscribed in burnt orange "... XI ... de la Paris", 9 1/4" diameter (Illustrated) (Est. plus 21% premium inc. VAT)
Plate with two putti beside pond with a goblet is chipped at 12 and 5, gilding scratched, the majority have very worn borders, two cherubs in clouds 1" crack at 12 (through initials).
