An impressive collection in a binder and 3 stock books well displayed and annotated of almost entirely 19th Century mint & used stamps including many first & ‘classic’ issues. The stamps chiefly identified by SG number (not guaranteed) and amongst much else includes a substantial collection of the German States from Baden to Wurttemberg  including several with certificates / opinions such as Bremen 1861-64 2gr orange unused SG8 (cat £600), Saxony 1851 3pf greens SG4 & 8 used (cat £450 & £200), also note others signed by experts such as Bremen SG1 used 4 margins (signed Pfenninger): Italian States large collection from Modena to Tuscany (also Lombardy – Venetia) includes the Naples 1858 ½gr rose to 10gr value (2, lake & rose shades), 20gr rose (cat £1500), 50gr lake with certificate (cat £3500), Sicily 1859 ½gr orange- yellows (4, various shades & dies, two used with certificates, also unused & used) strong range to 20g (2, mint & used) & 50g brown-lake, Sardinia includes a “Cavallini” embossed letter sheet and a large range of stamps, Tuscany with Lions to 9cr, the Provisional Govt vals to 40c; other smaller collections include Austria from 1850 imperfs, Belgium from the Epaulettes, Bulgaria from first Lions, Eastern Rumelia & Sth Bulgaria, Denmark from early imperfs, Finland from serpentine roulettes, 1889 10m mint, etc, France from SG1, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg from first imperfs, Monaco, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway from the 1855 4sk Lion imperf, Poland with dangerous forged SG1’s, also genuine Russia ‘used in’, Portugal, Rumania, Russia from 1858 10k SG1 (apparently unused, cleaned with faults), San Marino, Serbia, Spain from SG1, Sweden, Switzerland from 1850 2½r “Orts Post” SG2 (Schlesinger handstamp on reverse), other imperfs incl with certificate, Turkey from the early imperfs, also a 20th Century Fiume collection including early Austrian stamps ‘used in’.
