Broderick, Spalding an oak and mahogany longcase clock, having an eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch painted break-arch dial having black Roman numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial, decorative corner spandrels, blued-steel hands and signed Broderick, Spalding, the arch painted with a scene depicting a soldier on a horse, the oak case with mahogany crossbanding, inlaid shell decoration to the trunk, a swan-neck pediment and standing on bracket feet, height 214cm. Thomas Broderick Jnr is recorded as working in Spalding, Lincolnshire from before 1828 until at least 1835 and may be the Thomas previously recorded working in Holbeach alongside his father as Broderick & Son.
