A 19TH CENTURY GILTWOOD CENTRE TABLE in 17th century style, the rectangular lacquered top decorated with a chinoiserie mountainous landscape, the giltwood frieze carved with laurel leaves and berries, scroll headed foliate carved compound legs joined by a rising x-scroll stretcher centred on a foliate and lobed urn with ball and spire finial, 92cm wide x 77cm high. A large part of the sale has been consigned by a charitable trust, being the contents of a Kent Manor House.
The trust wishes to remain anonymous but I can tell you that the family went back several centuries and have a significant property in Yorkshire as well as the Kent house.
