Estimate

Fees

A pair of French bronze bookends, early 20th century, each modelled as a scribing cherub, each 11.5cm long

More Information

Height approximately 13cm
Widest point approximately 6cm

One cherub is loose upon it's base, and screw needs tightening. Both appear to have once been modelled writing upon slabs, which have since been broken off, as evident by rough patches on the arms (see pictures). Both examples show general scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. No large splits, dents or signs of repair. The slightly loose example wobbles slightly on a level surface.
