Antique silk panel, possibly an 18th century cover for a centre stool as it is shaped on 3 sides; the silk is embroidered with repeating trailing floral patterns, multi coloured including some goldwork threads. Edged in gold braid ribbon and lined in pink silk. See condition report for age related damage
There is evidence of age related shattering of silk, particularly on the shaped edge sections where widespread repairs have been carried out to bind floating surface threads. A few holes noted in main body of fabric - see photos, also loss of stitching on some flower motifs
