1859 A MOST ATTRACTIVE THREE COLOUR FRANKING PAYING THE 9d RATE TO SCOTLAND: 26 Oct. 1859 env. endorsed "Via Marseilles" at the 9d rate to Golspie, bearing 1857-59 1d blue, 2d green (shaved at top) and 6d purple-brown. All cancelled with barred oval cancellation and ms "1" in red below. "GALLE/STEAMER LETTER" (RL type "CA" in red and blue "GOLSPIE" c.d.s on reverse. Ex R.G. Traill (Christies RL 1990). BPA Cert.
