WWI British First Day of the Somme Death Plaque to Second Lieutenant Ralph Valentine Merry, 18th Bn The Kings (Liverpool Regiment). Killed In Action on Saturday 1st July 1916, aged 22. Buried at Dantzig Alley British Cemetery, Mametz, France. Grave Ref: V. W. 10. Son of Alfred and Thora Natalie Merry, of Liscard, Wallasey, Cheshire. The plaque is complete with it's original condolence slip and envelope. New to the market. Note: Please see lot 4000 in this sale for his Brother's WW1 Medals inc Mini MC with two bars.
