LE CAIRE MARK ON PRINTED ORDERS OF THE DAY FROM GENERAL MENOU SENT TO SIOUTH; Very fine and complete printed 6-page 2 Oct. 1800 EL with Napoleonic forces "Ordre du jour, du 10 vendemiaire an 9" heading - in the names of Generals Menou, Lagrange and Rene - listing various Egyptian officials, listing new laws etc. addressed to "Citoyen Petruccy Payeur du 1e arrondissement a Siouth" and charged "8 [decimes]" with a very fine "LE CAIRE" mark nicely placed on the front. Remarkable document that was printed in Cairo and a rare example of printed matter sent in Occupied Egypt.
