An ebony and brass octant. Circa 1850, height 29cm, in a mahogany stow case, with labels for Chas W. Price, Bristol, and Wilson & Gillie, North Shields. Ivory exemption certificate: NS2RFFB2 One of the brass stands is off with an associated chip to the ebony which is present, very soiled throughout and the brass is tarnished, lacking an extra eyepiece.
