1883 (Aug 1) Wrapper bearing first type Parcels Post label of Mark Cross (under Tunbridge Wells) franked 3d on 3d with barred oval cancel, addressed to London inscribed and dated "Aug 1st Per Parcel Post", with an enclosed letter "I mean to be the first to take advantage of the Parcel Post by sending you a pat of country butter for your breakfast". Folds and a little staining but a very scarce first day use of the Parcels Post service and label.
