1947 India 3p with trial overprints vertical strip of ten, unmounted o.g. Top six stamps without overprints; stamps 7-9 with overprint in black (not red, as issued); stamp 10 doubly overprinted in red and gold. Stamp three with stain, stamp 9 with the overprint smudged (perhaps attesting to the trial nature of the overprints), still a fine item with eight such strips produced. SG 1 trial
