A 9ct gold model of a dragon sat atop a slice of amethyst geode, designed by Phil Read for the Express and Echo, 'Dungeons & Dragons' Competition, circa 1992, the dragon with raised head, wings & tail is mounted on a section of geode, approx. 19.0cm long overall, UK hallmark for 375 (9ct), Birmingham 1992, total gross weight approx. 1042.4grams; accompanied by a newspaper cutting of the prize giving. The dragon was made by Redruth, (Cornwall), artist Phil Read and the competition was sponsored by the Cornish Goldsmiths, UK hallmark for 375 (9ct), Birmingham 1992.
