A CHINESE CELADON INK POT ON HARDWOOD STAND, AND A TEA CADDY. Including a Chinese celadon seal paste box, of square shape with canted corners and a Dragon motif to the lid, bearing character marks to the base (5cms square). Also with an early 20thc tea caddy, brightly painted with vases of flowers to each side (12cms high). Both with wooden stands, the caddy with a wooden lid (not original). (2) *Provenance, formally owned by Lieutenant Commander Henry Radcliffe James, who lived at Edgeworth Manor near Stroud, and has passed through the family.
Box, seems generally fine, small very small firing cracks to the footrim (from manufacture). Stand, one foot has been repaired.
Caddy, lid not original, tiny flea bites down the edges (very minor), some chips to the raised decoration on each side (foliage border). Stand, generally fine - small chip to the pierced base (T section), lid - small slither out of the base of the lid.
