FREDERICK MANSFIELD LUTYENS (1860-1924) An oil on canvas - 'Lily Of The Dale', portrait of a horse and handler. Signed bottom right and dated 1886. Set in an ornate gilt frame and glazed. Details verso. Image size 62.5cm x 75cm Repairs to canvas on the reverse.
There is a noticeable vertical line going down the horse from its shoulder down to its foot, it looks like it has white mould around it, I have taken a photo and attached. There is quite a bit of craquelure all over and what looks like some scratches down near the signature coming up form the bottom around 3-5cm.
