EMBOSSED FRANKINGS FROM SCOTLAND; July 1854 and Aug. 1856 envs. to Armidale franked 1/- or 6d Embossed, both cut square with variable margins and with '33' (Lockerbie) or '11' (Annan) and with "5" or "d1" accountancy marks on front and carried on the GSSS Calcutta or White Star from Liverpool to Melbourne. Rear of each with London, Sydney and Armidale or Liverpool, Sydney and Armidale d.s. Also a dated fragment of 8 July 1842 from London to Sydney franked strip of four 1841 2d tied by Black MX cancels.
