A pair of diamond and opal drop earrings, each comprising an old-cut diamond surmount, approximately measures 4.0 x 3.8 mm, dangling a precious opal cabochon drop displaying good play-of-colour on light translucent ground, both set in coronet mounts, fitted with later-added peg and butterflies, opal mount testing 18ct, diamond mount 14ct and ear posts testing 9ct, drop length 1.5 cm, cased in Garrard & Co. box, total weight of item 2.2 grams. Shows signs of alterations, the diamonds and opals have been put together and later added with ear posts fittings.
