1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper's Sword
31 3/4 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with large fuller. Stamped with a crowned 4. Back edge with maker "Gill". Steel stirrup knuckle bow and downturn quillon. Central langets (one absent). Steel backstrap with grip ears. Wooden ribbed grip. Contained in its blackened steel scabbard with two loose hanging rings. Scabbard chape damaged and some dents to scabbard.
