A late 17th - early 18th century Indo-Portuguese Lahore rosewood, walnut ebony and inlaid ivory cabinet. The cabinet with ivory inlay borders, featuring Islamic cartouche to each side, later 19th century French Empire style central gilt metal escutcheon with fleur de lis crown and scrolled foliate shape. The fall front opening to reveal six drawers styled as nine, each with ivory, brass & malachite specimen stone geometric inlay, the handles of turned ivory (lacking central knob). The whole thing raised on four bun feet. Lacking key. Ivory exemption certification 7FWJYGCU.
