A Chinese bronze lidded censer, Qing Dynasty. The cover surmounted by a mangosteen, the base with apocryphal Xuande seal mark, height 16cm, diameter 18.5cm. Provenance: The Michael J. Hickman Collection. Bought in Cornwall from the early 1970's to early 1980's. The condition of this vessel is commensurate with its age. There are no serious defects.
