1815 Waterloo Medal to George Moore 1st Batt 79th Reg Foot, replacement clip and straight bar suspender, edge bruise and minor contact marks, very fine. With quantity of copied research including service papers, roll, muster extracts etc, surname sometimes spelt as Moor, was born in Willcombe, served in Caithness Legion from Nov 1794 until enlisting in 79th Foot 9/7/1800, served in Egypt, Copenhagen, Flushing, Portugal & Spain in the years 1808, 1810-14, Flanders & France 1815-17, severely wounded in the leg at Fuentes d'Onor, in the arm at Pampaluna and in the leg at Waterloo serving with Capt Marshall's Light Company, discharged 19/5/18. Survived to be issued MGSM with 4 clasps Egypt, Corunna, Salamanca and Toulouse. (See photo) (R)
