Victorian garnet and diamond enamelled yellow gold brooch to commemoration the Derby win of Ellington in 1856, modelled as a jockey's cap with riding crop, the hat set with a cabochon cut garnet carbuncle, measuring approx 15mm x 11mm, rubover set, the enamelled surround with the words Ellincton (presumed to be Ellington) 1856, the ribbon style with diamond set silver buckle and diamond set silver terminal, total of thirty-two small rose cut diamonds, the cap with glazed panel verso, hinged pin and simple loop brooch fittings (replacement pin), applied 18c pad, dimensions approx 4cm x 4cm
