BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Margaret Charman studied at St Martin's and The Courtauld Institute, and from 1971 lectured at Havering College, becoming Head of Art and Craft. She was Head of Art and Design at Wirral College of Art and Design from 1980 to 1982, and then Head of the Cheshire School of Art and Design from 1982 to 1992. She has exhibited widely in South Africa, America, Europe and the UK, and her work is held in private collections around the world including the Shropshire Museum and Art Gallery.
