A mid 19c Swiss version of an Austrian Biedermeier Vienna regulator, the single weight movement signed Baume a Geneve on the backplate and having a 17cm diam. silvered dial with Roman numerals and seconds ring. The pendulum rod is of steel with a brass bob and brass covered weight. It is contained in a slim rosewood veneered case with top and bottom corners of the door having scroll carvings. The base has a similar carving and the top of the case has a pierced foliate wooden cresting. The clock is 106cm tall overall.
It is missing its adjusting nut to the base of the pendulum but otherwise is in good restored condition.
