A fantastic original acrylic on paper painting by Joseph O'Connor entitled "Horse Race" and dated to 2002. Features a dynamic scene of galloping race horses. O'Connor is best known for his iconic sporting scenes including horse racing, football and cricket. Inscription bottom left reads 'study after computer graphic - Joe Magee.' Magee is a renowned graphic designer. The duo-chrome nature of this work as well as its modern/contemporary inspiration demonstrates O'Connor's continuous ability to innovate his personal style, even at this late stage in his career. Beautifully housed in a deep white frame. An O'Connor work of this subject matter sold at auction for €475.
