A George I figured walnut chest on chest, early 18th century, the moulded cornice above two short and three long crossbanded, lip moulded and pine lined drawers, each applied with brass bat wing back plates and escutcheons with swing handles, the sides of the chest with rosewood crossbanding, upon the lower chest with conforming crossbanding and fittings, with an arrangement of two long and four short drawers, upon bracket feet, 175cm H x 109cm W x 57cm D
Splits to the chest top with some evidence of historic worm, very minor splits to the chest sides, added blocks and restoration to the feet, which appear firm with little or no movement.
Handles look to be later associated, see additional images, some minor splits to the drawer liners although all drawers run smoothly.
Overall the chest is in good clean condition with evidence of sympathetic restoration.
