POSTCARD POSTAGE RATES - 1870s-1939: Four box files containing a well written-up study demonstrating the range of postal rates mainly from 1882 to 1939 for picture and postal stationery postcards both inland and to various European countries & Great Britain, inc. a 1919 PPC sent to Canada; a 1927 illustrated postcard for the first Prague & Berlin flight franked with a 1.50kc stamp + a 100h stamp ovptd with an aircraft and "50(h)" tied with a Prague cds and with a Prague "DOPRAVENO LETECKOU POSTOU" datestamp, a red Berlin Templehof cachet, and a "BERLIN/[date]/LUFTPOST" cds adjacent; a 1933 1.50kc commercial stationery card to Mexico (filing holes punched near bottom edge); two 1935 colour PCs carried on the first flights to Bucharest or Moscow with appropriate cachets; and other fine examples of uprated mail, dual franking, postage due, express mail, printed matter rates, etc. Also inc. a set of 2kr postal stationery cards with various fine town cds's posted in the 1870s (14).
