A Georgian Onyx and Pearl 'Lover's Eye' Miniature Heart Pendant,
circa 1820, the polished black onyx heart having central double-sided hinged locket compartment containing a Lover's Eye watercolour portrait miniature on ivory panel, within a graduated split pearl surround, unmarked mount tests as 14ct rose gold, 43.5mm, 10.2g. The onyx has no chips or cracks. All pearls are present and only have minor nacre chips visible through a loupe. The ivory panel has no chips or cracks. Overall in very good condition.
