A mid 17th century oak 'wainscot' armchair, Lake District Possibly Westmorland, with scroll and channel-moulded top rail, the panelled back carved with a knot and floret motif, the scroll arms raised on turned supports over the plain boarded seat, the turned front legs and square-section back legs united by plain stretchers, the initials WB carved into the upper left stile. 52cm wide x 60cm deep x 102cm high
