More About the Artist: Samuel McLarnon was born in Larne, County Antrim in 1923. He began his studies in Larne Technical School, where he was the recipient of several awards. His preferred medium was definitely watercolour and his subjects were primarily coastal and landscape scenes in his native Northern Ireland. He had a studio in Larne for many years and exhibited annually. A founding member of Larne Art Club he also helped found the Ulster Watercolour Society and was a life member of Carnlough Art Club.
