A Chinese lacquered tea caddy, 19th century, of sarcophagus form with hinged cover opening to reveal a divided pewter lined interior, raised on four paw feet, 15cm H x 22cm W x 18cm D
Some joint separation to the cover, along with minor chips/nibbles to the edge, some minor lacquer loss to the angles.
Rubbing wear to the interior where the canisters fit, feet are probably later associated.
General rubbing to the gilt detail, further minor wear commensurate with age and use.
