A LATE 19TH CENTURY PAIR OF SILVER BUD VASES, with purple glass liners, each vase decorated all over with scrolling foliage & blossom decoration, with cupids & animals. Each with a central cartouche engraved with a winged animal figure. Nice clear hallmarks, London, date letter of ‘C’ for 1898. Maker’s mark of WG over JL For William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman – Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. (i) 20cm tall, (ii) 19.5cm tall.
