Victorian Victoria Rifles London Officer's Sword


32 3/4 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with fuller.  Etched foliage scrolls, crowned VR cypher, strung bugle with "Victoria Rifles".  Lower family crest with initials "A.M.B.".  Forte with maker "Busain & Co 8 Jerrard St. Soho London".  Steel guard with Victorian crowned strung bugle cartouche.  Stepped pommel and part checkered backstrap.  Contained in its black leather scabbard with steel mounts.  Complete with black leather knot.  

In 1908 became the 9th (County of London) Battalion, London Regiment (Queen Victoria's Rifles)
