A Victorian painted cast iron garden chair, probably Coalbrookdale Foundry, second half 19th century; openwork cast throughout, the arched backrest with stems radiating from a foliate trefoil; with conforming aprons below a wood slatted seat; 99cm high, 67cm wide NOTE: This design, no. 90929 was registered and patented by Coalbrookdale on 28th April 1853, and appears as number 20 in their Castings Catalogue.
