An unusual commemorative Carrickmacross lace fan, possibly one made and entered for a group of competitions held by the Worshipful Company of Fan Makers, the winning fan to be presented to Queen Victoria as a gift for her Silver Jubilee in 1897. (The winning fan now in the Royal Collection).
Fan measured fully open 54cm x 29cm high

The lace leaf has some slight staining, but is in good condition, four bone guards have broken at the base and have been re-glued, the mother of pearl the base of guards and show guards are all in good condition, overall condition good for age
