H.M. Queen Elizabeth II ('Lilibet' signed), a handwritten and signed letter to Gerald Lascelles, on Buckingham Palace headed paper dated May 1957, responding to an invitation for Prince Charles to attend Gerald's son's (Henry) birthday party, 'unfortunately Charles has to have his tonsils out' (...) 'But I do hope we will all be able to come and see you one weekend later on when we have returned from Denmark and when Charles has quite recovered. I much look forward to seeing what you have done to the house. With love Lilibet', (tear to upper left corner).

The tear is closed. It measures 1.5cm diameter.
There is a small stain above the 'i' of the word 'is' on the second to last line.
Creasing to the corners.
There is only a very slight variation in colour from the front page to the second page. Please note that this lot comprises 2 sheets of paper total (the second page is written on the back of the first).
