William Moorcroft for Macintyre, Florian vase, circa 1900, slender waisted form decorated with crocus around the base, beneath a band of lilac leaves, in shaded blues, green painted signature mark and Florian printed mark (hairline cracks), height 28.5cm

Two hair cracks emanating from the rim; one extending to the upper mid section of the vase, the other virtually on the opposite side of the vase extending approx. 6cm. These are damages as opposed to factory flaws. There is an even craquelure throughout the vase, some glaze imperfections visible. Craquelure visible on the underside of the vase.
