A collection of four 19th century cross stitch alphabet samplers and a larger earlier sampler embroidered by Elizabeth Sizmur aged 11 dated 1795, designed with spot motifs and religious verse. 18th century sampler 42cm x 44cm. Condition - the four 19th century samplers have slight fading, the 18th century sampler is holed in places and has staining.
