N.B. this scarce lithograph depicts a stage with chronological representations of Ellen Terry in her various parts from 'Hamillius 1856' to 'Lady Cecily 1906'. It was distributed as souvenirs to guests at the Jubilee Banquet at the Hotel Cecil on 17 June 1906. With an example of The Theatre Royal Drury Lane Souvenir of the Jubilee Commemoration. Plus manuscript correspondence between the previous owner of the lithograph and Sir John Gielgund 1904 - 2000 (Ellen Terry's Great Nephew). The letters are in full manuscript, signed by Gielgud and they discuss the above lithograph. Sir Arthur John Gielgud, OM, CH was an English Actor and Theatre Director whose career spanned eight decades. With Ralph Richardson and Laurence Olivier, he was one of the trinity of Actors who dominated the British stage for much of the 20th Century
