1815 Waterloo Medal re-named in contemporary style in upright capitals to Peter McCulloch 79Th Regt Foot, clip replaced with barrel ring fitted to disc by 2 screws, about very fine.
With 2 copied pages of service record, he was born in Belfast, enlisted 4/6/1804, discharged 16/6/1823 aged 41 in consequence of a mark of a wound right leg and left ankle injured in a bad manner. Papers state that "he served in the campaign in Spain & Portugal 1808, 10, 11, 12 & 1813, France & Netherlands in 1814, 15, 16, 17 & 1818, at the sieges of Copenhagen, Flushing and Burgos and in the Battles of Busaco, Fuentes d'Onor, Salamanca, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Toulouse & Waterloo, was severely wounded in the right leg at Fuentes d'Onor, & slightly in the left leg and right arm at Waterloo.
