A MIXED SILVER LOT; includes: (i) A 19th Century French gilt silver sugar spoon & tongs set, each with a gadrooned bluebell detail to the stem of the spoon and the stems of the tongs, the spoon with a 950 French Minerva mark, maker’s mark present a little rubbed, also with a bigorne mark which would suggest a date of between 1819 – 1838. No hallmarks to the tong/nips that we could see. Weight: Just under 1 troy ounce total for both. (ii) A 19TH CENTURY BRIGHT CUT DECORATED SUGAR TONGS, Birmingham, with a date letter of ‘u’ for 1894, maker’s mark T.H for Thomas Hayes. Weight: .5 of a troy ounce. Dimensions: 8.5cm long.
