Follower of George Cuitt (18th/19th century) - river landscape with a watermill and other buildings amongst trees, a drover and cattle with other figures in the foreground, oil on canvas, 22.75" x 28.75"
In fully restored condition, the work has been relined, cleaned and restored back in the 1970s or '80s, there is evidence of some restoration in the sky but this appears to be minimal and the surface of the work has dirt and discoloured varnish throughout, there may have been a tear or damage in the watermill and partially into the tree and the hillside below the building, this old restoration is now starting to discolour, contained within a 1970s or '80s plain outer gilt plaster and wooden frame.
