Irish Royal Limerick County Militia Victorian glengarry badge circa 1874-75. Good rare short lived die-stamped white metal crowned Union sprays resting on ROYAL LIMERICK Co. scroll. Within the sprays, a circlet QUIS SEPARABIT MDCCLXXXIII; Maid of Erin Harp to voided centre. Two loops to reverse. VGC Raised 1793 at St. Francis Abbey, redesigned as Fusiliers 1st November 1875, became 5th Bn. Royal Munster Fusiliers 1st July 1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
