A fantastic large original oil on board painting by Siún O'Connor titled "The Rising 1916". The central focus of the work is the squadron of Irish soldiers in green uniform marching determinedly towards the viewer as members of the public look on. Súin works in a more naturalistic style than her brother and was a beloved fixture in her local area. With a very interesting picture on the reverse.
