An early 19th century Scottish silver agricultural show trophy - George McHattie, Edinburgh 1807, of circular form with barbed and gadrooned rim, two reeded angular scroll handles and four ball feet, the interior gilt-washed, engraved 'Bath & West of England Society to W. Slatter Esq., for exhibiting the best long wool'd breeding Ewes, awarded at the Annual Meeting 1829' below a band of chased floral, diaper and acorn decoration, 12.7cm high, 443g.
