A 16th century carved Italian large Cassone converted to a desk. The heavily carved front panel in relief with scenes of scroll work and figures. Plinth banded base with the reverse comprising a series of inset short and deep drawers surrounding a central kneehole recess. The desktop of plain oak with canted corners and banded beneath to the dentil. Measures approx. 80cm x 167cm x 80cm.
