MARITIME: A rare white metal mantel clock, 'RNYC FUJIYAMA' in blue enamel and two burgees belonging to the Royal Clyde and Royal Northern Yacht Club. With rope twist surround separating the legends and burgees. It measures 7½ins. diameter and 2¾ins. deep. The clock movement BREVETE. S.G.D.G. NB: Fujiyama was a 160-ton steam yacht built by John Reid of Whiteinch, Glasgow in 1895. She was built for Andrew Coats of the Paisley Thread dynasty. Coats was a member of the Royal Clyde and Royal Northern Yacht club whose burgees are shown on the clock.
