A stunning original limited edition (10/10) silk print titled 'Green Landscape' by esteemed Irish artist Michael Byrne hand signed in pencil and dated to 1980. Byrne is best known for his participation in the Independent Artists, a group known for Avant Garde art in the 1970's. His work is highly collectable with an excellent auction history, with a sales a Adam's of €380. Some damage to matting and glass but the work itself in in good condition.

Byrne worked for the Arts Council/an Chomhairle Ealaíon and for NCAD. He was a founder member of Independent Artists, a committee member of Project Arts Centre and of the Black Church Print Studio, both in Dublin. He exhibited widely in Ireland and abroad, and his paintings and prints are in private and public collections worldwide. His solo exhibitions include Inglewood Library Gallery in Los Angeles; Project Arts Centre (1968-71); and Setanta Gallery, Dublin (1974, 76, 81). He published limited editions of lithographs and silk screen prints.
